Register for Small Business Week Awards Ceremony at UTSA Downtown Campus

Breakfast ceremony at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 20 to recognize nine award winners

UTSA's Institute for Economic Development is hosting the 2010 Small Business Week Awards Ceremony at 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2010. The free event will take place in the Buena Vista Theater at the UTSA Downtown Campus, 501 W. Durango St. Free parking is available at the Cattleman's Square lot. Registration is required by May 14, 2010.

Nine awardees will be honored, including the Institute's Contracting Resource Center, which will receive the Small Business Development Center Service, Excellence, and Innovation Center Award. (See UTSA President Ricardo Romo's remarks about the Contracting Resource Center below.)

Small Business Award Winners will be recognized by SBA District Director Pamela Sapia. This recognition is part of National Small Business Week, which has been proclaimed by the President of the United States every year since 1963 to recognize the contributions of small businesses to the economic well-being of America. This event is sponsored by the South-West Border Small Business Development Center Network, in support of the San Antonio District office of the Small Business Administration.
